In 1961, Japan introduced the CCCN (Customs Cooperation Committee Nomenclature) as a framework for tariff classification that represents the Japan Customs accepted the international Customs standards. In 1964, Japan became the 38th member of the CCC (Customs Cooperation Committee), the predecessor of the WCO. Today, Japan Customs is one of the high-ranking Customs in the world
